WICCAB-101 has recreated here Ted Wright’s poster “Walls of Shame / Murs de la honte” exposing the brand of intolerance many English-speaking Quebecers endure daily, the tyranny of openly scrawled hatred which is directed clearly at one segment of the population. What is most sad about this is, although these photos are now 15 years old, one does not have to look far to find similar hateful threats and intolerance in Montreal’s core. ______________________________________________________ Ted Wright's Photos “Walls of Shame” Click on an image to view full size Montréal ©1996 Ted Wright - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED / TOUS DROITS RESERVÉS ©2011 WICCAB101 - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED / TOUS DROITS RESERVÉS W.I.C.C.A.B.-101 is a citizen founded and operated committee of concerned individuals from Montreal’s West Island and supported by numerous support groups & committees from across the Island of Montreal, Canada and internationally. Walls of Shame  Government Law 101 (now Law 86) has been a Bill101 is the rallying cry for those (usually separatists) who believe there should be little or no English visible in Quebec. It is used also to limit access to schooling in English for immigrants. It has taken the United Nations to point out to Quebec separatists that this law is against civil rights. MOST QUEBECERS ARE NOT RACISTS. Yet we can see an evil undercurrent supported by some government and political figures who use the scape goating of Canada & English Quebec to pursue their political objectives. As far back as the early 60's, the FLQ (Quebec Liberation Front) was an organization which used bombs and death (terrorism) to create their own country. This graffitti, is seen as justifiable hatred, by persons represented here, who believe in the same political objectives. Contributors are welcomed to assist us to publish in book form these samples of hatred and to have a travelling presentation so that others may see this in person. For additional copies send $10.00   Premiere Lucien Bouchard, it's time for these feelings of hate to disappear from Quebec.
